Studio Manager

Sam is a creative technologist with a background in graphic design, print, video production, and game development. While studying at the University of Portsmouth, he discovered his passion for motion capture—a field that combines his love for video games, film making, performance, movement, martial arts, dance, and technology. He has worked with leading studios such as The Imaginarium, PitStop Productions, and Sony PlayStation Studios' Guerrilla Games in Amsterdam, contributing to high-profile projects like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Horizon Forbidden West. Alongside this, Sam has also pursued freelance photography and video production, bringing his creative vision to music videos, documentaries, and more.

In February 2022, Sam joined CCIXR (Centre for Creative and Immersive Extended Reality) before its official opening. Working at CCIXR has been a career highlight, offering the chance to collaborate on a wide variety of exciting projects with talented and innovative people. Sam is especially passionate about using the space to inspire and teach others, helping them explore the creative potential of new technologies.

Curiosity and communication are at the heart of Sam’s approach. He’s always eager to learn new software and tools which help him adapt and bring fresh ideas to his work. Outside of the studio, Sam enjoys photography, cooking, yoga, chess, playing & designing games, and spending time with his girlfriend and two cats.

Driven by a love for creativity and collaboration, Sam focuses on crafting meaningful, engaging projects that connect people and push the boundaries of technology and storytelling.
